Landscape Architecture

Overview

WJA Design Collaborative’s Site Planning and Landscape Architecture design services include interdisciplinary teams of landscape architects, planners and support personnel who work collaboratively on developing creative, multi-functional and low-impact site design solutions. We understand that successful site design often includes a complex balance between needs for outdoor space, vehicular and pedestrian circulation, recreation, views, safety, accessibility and aesthetics with the preservation and protection of existing natural systems such as trees and vegetation, wildlife habitat, sensitive areas and drainage courses.

Landscape Architecture at WJA-dc begins integrating aesthetics and natural processes with site planning, infrastructure and stormwater management from the beginning of the design process through construction. Our landscape architects have vast experience in sustainable site design strategies that integrate low-impact stormwater solutions including bio-retention areas, rain gardens and pervious pavements with native and drought tolerant planting design, protection and preservation of existing trees, rainwater collection and reclaimed/recycled materials into the site.

WJA-dc’s Site Planning success is based on providing high quality services and projects for our local, regional and national client base. Our dedicated staff of landscape architects and support personnel are committed to ensuring our clients achieve their goals and budgetary requirements.
